RandomState.negative_binomial(n, p, size=None, *, usm_type='device')[source]

Draw samples from a negative binomial distribution.

Limitations

As in NumPy, the values are undefined when (1 - p) / p * n is too large for the Poisson distribution, as for p == 0.
