dpnp.random.Generator.multivariate_normal

method

Generator.multivariate_normal(mean, cov, size=None, check_valid='warn', tol=1e-08, *, method='svd', dtype=None, usm_type='device')[source]

Draw random samples from a multivariate normal distribution.

For full documentation refer to numpy.random.Generator.multivariate_normal.

Limitations

dtype and usm_type are not in NumPy's signature. The covariance matrix is factorized on the device by dpnp.linalg, in double precision if the device supports it. Otherwise it is factorized in single precision, and tol is taken to be at least 100 * eps of dpnp.float32.
